Vireon brings mobile hydrogen refueling to pilots and temporary use cases in Finland

Vireon is making mobile hydrogen refueling available in Finland for pilots, demonstrations and temporary operational needs.

For multiple usecases

To support customers in locations where permanent hydrogen infrastructure is not yet in place, Vireon has purchased a mobile hydrogen refueling solution from Hexagon Purus. The solution provides a flexible way to refuel hydrogen vehicles and lower the threshold for testing hydrogen in real-world operations.

The mobile refueling solution is suitable for 350 bar hydrogen vehicles and can also be used for partial refueling of 700 bar vehicles. This makes it a practical option for vehicle pilots, construction sites, customer demonstrations, events and other temporary use cases. The solution can also be used as redundancy for a stationary refueling station, or as an range extender.

Rental or turnkey

Vireon can offer the solution either as equipment rental or as a turnkey service. Depending on the customer’s needs, Vireon can support planning, setup and practical implementation, and can also supply hydrogen.

Our goal is to make it easier to test hydrogen vehicles and lower the threshold for first pilots and demonstrations,” says Juho-Matti Uksuulainen, Project Director in Vireon.

By introducing mobile refueling in Finland, Vireon aims to help customers move faster from interest to action and create practical opportunities to explore hydrogen in transport applications.
