MAN's hydrogen truck has arrived in Norway

MAN Truck & Bus Norge AS premiered the hTGX, a groundbreaking hydrogen-powered truck, on an event in Lillestrøm, Norway May 22nd 2024. The event was a resounding success, drawing around 100 industry professionals.

As close collaboration partners for MAN and the truck owners, Norwegian Hydrogen CEO Jens Berge and Vireon Managing Director Per Øyvind Voie presented the companies plans for the rollout of hydrogen infrastructure in Norway and its critical role in achieving our ambitious climate goals.

State Secretary Abel Cecilie Knibe Kroglund from the Norwegian Ministry of Transport shared the government's objectives, while industry experts provided insights into the development of hydrogen infrastructure. Customer representatives also highlighted the prerequisites for investing in this promising technology.

MAN’s experts from Norway and Germany elaborated on MAN’s motivation and strategy for launching their hydrogen truck in Norway.

During the event, Enova SF announced that Vireon will receive 20 million NOK for new hydrogen refueling stations in Lørenskog and Vinje. With this funding, Vireon has now secured support for the establishment of six new refueling stations across Norway.
